SLOWLY Climbing

This is my last day as a 25 year old. I have compiled a list of all the things that got me to half a century. These are the things I have learned in my 25 years.

1. No one likes a bruised pb&j
2. Having imaginary friends is one of the best memories of my childhood.
3. Playing with baby dolls and barbies didn't scar me for life...in fact, I think they are awesome!
4. Freckles are just kisses from the sun, feel blessed if you have them.
5. Butterflies do not butter by, they flutter by, therefore the name should be changed.
6. I need to thank Kraft Mac and Cheese for existing...if it weren't for them, I would not be here.
7. Selling lemon-aid, colored pictures, and girl scout cookies taught me a good work ethic.
8. Bearinstein Bears books taught me many life lessons.
9. Remember when your parents would strip you in the parking lot before putting you in the car? Six Flags+ water ride = naked at Six Flags. Thanks mom and dad. Talk about learning humility.
10. Kissing penny's to throw them in a water fountain for your wishes always made me believe in all things good.
11. Throwing rocks at windows during spider season will always get someone's attention.
12. Never date the most popular boy in school. There will be girls who are mean for no reason.
13. I wish my prom shoes were the biggest worry and stress in my life now. It's too bad that comes to an end.
14. Beauty rule to live by in High School: Put toothpaste on a zit.
15. Be as wild as you wanna be in college but keep it in check.
16. There will come a time in life when you have to separate from your very best friends. The good thing is you learn a lot and when you meet up again you are as close as ever. Friends really do last a life time. Chose them wisely.
17. God is ALWAYS good.
18. If you wanna get anywhere in life you have to get out of your comfort zone.
19. Laughing and crying are both great joys in life.
20. Country music is good for healing the soul.
21. Fight your hardest for everything you believe in. Even it if makes people mad.
22. Make a Bucket List and really live by it. Don't let anyone make you shy away from what you want to adventure.
23. Sitting outside in a rainstorm with my dad talking about life was a blessing and a memory I will always cherish.
24. Time really does heal everything. You just have to let it.
25. You can have your cake and eat it too!

Tomorrow I will start the trip into the land of being closer to 30 than 20. Eek! There have been so many good things these past 25 years, I am anxious to see what the other side holds for me!

Food Revolution

I have become very food conscience since this series began. I was changed the first time I saw the show. I have become quite the reverse junk eater over the past few weeks. I am here to tell ya, no one can match me on eating chocolate for breakfast, ice cream for snacks, fried foods for lunch and dinner, and drinking a 12 pack of coke a day. Not to mention I feel like I have to have popcorn with extra butter every time I go to a movie, I love having baked goods in the house, and talk about frozen coffee on a hot summer day. I absolutely love junk! All that has changed for me since this show. I eat fruit every day, I drink mainly water with a coke every now and then, fresh foods instead of frozen, breakfast every morning, yogurt, and smoothies. I really have just chosen better. Everything I am eating now I have always eaten, I am just eating more of it and leaving out the bad. My body feels better, I work out every day, and I am motivated to do my best at staying healthy.

However, now that I have made the change, my mind keeps thinking my body should become as solid as a rock and have results immediately......but that really hasn't happened just yet. I am still working on that part of it.

If you have not seen this show, please watch it. You don't realize just how bad things are for you. Even at a young age, you will be amazed. I know I was. Eating better just allows for the bad things to be even better and worth having every now and then. It's like a present!

This first episode was an eye opener. I was eating most of what this obese family was eating every week....maybe not the amount but it opened my eyes to what my life could be if I wasn't active, didn't have hobbies, and never participated in events. It also showed me just how unhealthy my life could be later in life not just for me but my family.

If you are committed to living a healthy life, let me know! It is so motivating to see others doing the same thing. It also helps to get tips and encouragement because we are all gonna fall off the wagon every now and then. I know I will when I set sail and have yummy food all around me!  Post what you are doing in your daily life.

Exciting News

I have never traveled anywhere in my life besides the south. Not that I would ever need anything different or better because the south is so great! However, I wanna see the whole world!!! I've never been on a plane, never been anywhere North of Myrtle Beach, never had a reason for a passport. I am sure your jaw is dropped because I am 25, close to 26, and I have never been on a plane. I am quite shocked too but when I am 26, things are gonna change! Daniel and I have booked a cruise to The Bahamas on May 1, a week from when I turn 26. I have applied for a passport, and even through we will be driving.....I am getting to experience new places.

I have always been a fan a traveling and I have actually done a lot of that, just never been anywhere major. But now that I have a passport, you better believe I will be putting it to use as much as I can. I have always wanted to go to Italy, that may be the next big adventure I embark on.

Here is a look at what I will get to experience come May 1.

First Stop, Half Moon Cay.

Second stop, Nassau.

Now I've gotta get thinking about my Cruise wardrobe! I am so excited! If you have any advice or info to dish, I welcome it!
