I know I am a little late on this post however, you will understand at the end of this very funny tale! Valentines Day is not my most favorite day of the year, I don't wait for it to show up, and when it does, it is no big deal. In fact, I want nothing more than to act normal, do nothing out of the ordinary, and just spend the day with Daniel. Valentines Day is every day for me and it should be for everyone! Who needs a day for someone to be nice to them and show them affection? If you don't get it all the time then ask yourself why you are with them!
Saturday night Daniel gave me flowers when I got home from my last dance competition and a crazy, hectic day! They may be the prettiest flowers I have ever received. White flowers of any kind are my favorite and this was beautiful and simple. My picture was deleted so I will describe them to you: a white hydrangea with 3 yellow, orangey, pink tulips. The vase has copper wiring swiveled all around in the water and the flower itself was laid over to one side.
When Valentines Day arrived, nothing was unusual for us. Life was as is. We decided to join his brother who has recently started dating one of my best friends for dinner.....they picked Mexican. I don't care for Mexican at all minus making it at my house and chips and salsa and queso. I don't even like Taco Bell. We went and had a good time with good company. 1 Margarita later and a trip for dessert downtown, we were headed back home. Things were great, we went to bed and then.....
I am awakened by my stomach rumbling and tumbling. An hour later lead to many hours of not sleeping and being sick. Daniel never woke up during all of this, thankfully. But around 6:30 he woke up to the wind beating on the windows and doors. I was so miserable, I told him I'd been so sick, he quickly got me a drink and played with my hair until I could get to sleep before waking up for work. I have never had food poising in my life but as the old saying goes, there is a first for everything. I spent the whole day yesterday nursing myself back to feeling better with 1 7up and crackers. Nothing tasted good to me at all and I was so dehydrated I needed to be sipping on something, but it was hard! For dinner my mom made me some mashed potatoes so I could try to eat something that would be easy on me. My stomach defiantly didn't know what was going on as it continued making noises the rest of the night. I feel great today and am laughing at my lovely Valentines Day mishap. Romantic right?
