Confessional

I am following the lead of another blogger, Liz, who motivated me to do this. Being honest with yourself is hard enough but saying them out they become more real. Here are my confessions.

I wish I were a style consultant.

I don't know if I will ever get out of debt. I don't even have much, just that little bit is hard to give up each month.

I watch way too much Law and Order.

Losing my brother may take the last breath I have so I pray I go before him all the time.

I think Lady Gaga is one incredible person even though she is weird.

Since my Grandpa Cook had a stroke, church hasn't been the same for me therefore I don't attend anymore.

I become paranoid frequently thanks to my job. I always have bad thoughts of others I don't know and I think they will do something bad.

I secretly think of how good my future could be all the time with a lot of "what ifs."

I wish I would have been better at deciding how to plan my future instead of letting people talk me into things and steering me in different directions, those people are no where to be found in my life. I wish I would have gone away to college, danced in college, and at times maybe lived a little wild.

I am very self conscience of my body and the way I look all the time.

I could live in Gap T Shirts everyday: all colors, jeans, cowboy boots, riding boots, flats, house shoes, or flip flops. There are so many different ways to wear them, casual and relaxed, straight up bummy, or dress em' up. Really, everyday.

I wanna pack my bags and leave Tennessee every now and then and live a different kind of life.

As much as dance has been a major part of my life, it is bittersweet to watch it fade away. It has been one of the best rides in life. But I am ready for a different adventure and cannot wait to see what journey I embark on next in my life.

I didn't know if I could love again after having my heart broken but God showed me I didn't love yet and blessed me with Daniel. I think Him for teaching me and blessing me every day.

My dream job would be reading to kids all day long. I adore children's books! Therefore I hope to be able to do that after work at a children's hospital....it is a work in progress : )

I'm not a greedy person but I fear my job will not help me get what I want outta life: Will I ever be able to afford my own home with the tiny salary I have? Ever have kids? Ever travel?

What are your confessions? Have you ever really said them out loud, like for everyone to hear?

Back Yard Football

Pretty days like this make me want to get in a sundress, sunglasses, windows down, and music up! It's too bad I am here at work stuck inside all day. I am thinking of a fun memory today as I am stuck inside....I am so ready for spring, and also football which doesn't go together, I know. But here, it does! This series of pictures was at Steeplechase last year between the races. The pressure was on since I opened my mouth saying,"I can play football." I thought, great I am gonna do nothing but embarrass myself here in front of all the guys, I just had to be tough. Well, of course I can catch a football, I shouldn't have ever doubted myself! But, really I shouldn't brag until it is over: lesson learned. I was wearing a dress, but I hiked it on up like I had no care in the world....as long as I caught the ball! Back in my younger days, I used to dance and as you can see here, when I catch the ball I look like I should be on stage, such a great time!

Daniel laughing, getting ready to set the ball thinking I really won't catch it!

Of course Daniel has to turn around to see first hand that I caught the ball. I think he was a proud of me, just a little bit! : )

Trip To The Park

Almost 2 years ago, Beth and I ventured out on a beautiful Saturday in May to the park. Jewel, my dog, was just 10 weeks old and Cooper, Beth's son, was about 3 months shy of being 1! Let me just tell you...not a good combination! Great idea in theory but not when it was played out. We begin our adventure at Subway getting lunch. Jewel and Cooper were left with me outside and boy did we get lots of attention! We have a great plan of going to the park with our lunch and sitting on a blanket to have a picnic, we thought wrong! Cooper was all about wanting off the blanket to touch the grass, Jewel wanted in the dirt, and of course they were going separate ways. After this tragic picnic, we decide they are safer in the stroller and in my arms so we walk along the sidewalks on Frasier and again, gain lots of attention with a baby and a puppy....all of which I tried to get her to walk but she refused so I had to carry the whole time. Carrying a puppy around all day can be hard work.

Starting out calm......

Soon lead to this....

Lesson learned and we have not gone back with both ever since. This was just how Jewel and Coop felt at the end of the adventure....

Bring On The Shades and Sandals

This has been quite a slow, boring winter for me and I am awaiting the arrival of Spring and Summer to get here! It is snowing today....I don't know if it will ever end! Here are a few of my favorite memories over the years. And different hair lengths, shades of blonde, and styles! Hope this makes you crave Spring just like me!

This was the coldest day of summer last year...that is why I have my clothes on! We were at a concert on the water, made for a good evening with lots of drinks and sun!

Steeplechase 2009 was a muddy disaster! But of course a real good time. This was at the end of the day when I needed to go to the port-a-potty, thankfully he carried me so I wouldn't have to walk in the many inches of mud.

Courtney and I at Kenny Chesney concert in Nashville. Here we are doing a little bit of tail gating!
After a few beers, we flirted our way into the Sand Bar....if you look closely, my sticker has been torn in 2. But no one ever noticed!!!!

Oh those long locks, how I miss you so! This was at a camp fire with a bunch of rowdy high school girls...this meant summer at its finest!

At Daniel's property in Alabama of course we must do the favorite past time: fishing. No, I don't bait my own hook because they are cute, little, baby minos (more like goldfish) and I just cannot do it to them. However, I did catch this big guy and another.....

Taryn and I at Steeplechase!

Daniel and I at Bud and Allies in Seaside, FL listening to a blue grass band.

Ahhh, the beautiful beach at sunset....is there anything better in life?

Toes in the sand! The best feeling in  the world!

Me and Beth at a dance team "photo shoot," as we like to refer to them! It is pouring down rain, we are soaked, laughing, and the beating from the rain is beginning to hurt at this point! As you can see, we are crouched down and trying to not laugh! Turned out to be a very fond memory!

Kate and Jason's rehearsal dinner! What a fun weekend as we celebrated our friends getting married!
Us with the beautiful bride!

My best friend, Beth and her little baby boy, Cooper. This was our first meeting, although I am pretty sure he already knew who I was! Cooper will be 3 this year...has time flown or what!?!?!?
